North Toronto
North Toronto, a former town located in the northern part of the Old Toronto district is a neighbourhood that now occupies a central location within the city of Toronto.
The Town of North Toronto was incorporated in 1890 and was still much of an agricultural farming community at the time of incorporation.
However, large areas of land in the district were already subdivided and were being held by venturers. It was formed as a result of an amalgamation between Eglinton Village, Bedford Park Village, and Davisville Village.

It was then annexed by the old city of Toronto in 1912 after been frustrated by the poor level of district services offered by the town. Not too long after annexation, the area quickly filled in and was completely developed by the 1940s.
