Hockey Hall of Fame
The Hockey Hall of Fame is a museum and hall of fame located in Brookfield Place in downtown Toronto, Canada.
The Hockey Hall of Fame was founded in 1943. This was done to set up a monument for those who have developed the great winter sport in Canada – ice hockey.
In 1961, the Hockey Hall of Fame had its first permanent building officially opened at the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto before it finally moved to its present location at Yonge Street inside Brookfield Place, and a historic Bank of Montreal building in downtown Toronto in 1993. Except for the Great Hall where they have the list of honourees and a version of the Stanley cup including all other great trophies, most of the rooms are found underground.
The Hockey Hall of Fame is a great destination for anyone interested in sports particularly hockey fans. Holding exhibits about players, teams, National Hockey League (NHL) records, memorabilia, and NHL trophies, including the Stanley Cup, the Hockey Hall of fame is dedicated to the history of ice hockey. There’s so much fun and learning from experiencing the game that defines Canada and a sport that over 70 countries have adopted.
Beyond being a sports museum, the Hockey Hall of Fame is an energetic, coordinated, and innovative celebration of hockey. From the finest collection of hockey artifacts at all levels of play from around the world and hands-on access to NHL trophies including the Stanley Cup to a replica of the NHL dressing room, animated categories of today's top players in a model rink, larger-than-life statues, state-of-the-art games where you can brush against life-size, an unparalleled selection of hockey-related merchandise and memorabilia within the store, teams and their achievements, and themed exhibits dedicated to greatest players of the game, the Hockey Hall of Fame something to offer to everyone.
