Canada’s Wonderland
Visiting Toronto for the first time? Or are you looking for a place to chill and have fun with your children and family? Canada’s Wonderland is one sure place you should try out! I bet you would want to keep visiting over and over again.
The 330-acre theme park is located in Vaughan, Ontario, an outlying part approximately 25 kilometers north of downtown Toronto. It was opened by the Taft Broadcasting Company and The Great-West Life Assurance Company in 1981 as the first major theme park in Canada.
The park is currently owned by Cedar Fair after its purchase from the National Amusements via Paramount Parks in 2006. Not until its temporary closure in 2020, the park has kept a track record of being known as the most visited seasonal amusement park in North America for several consecutive years with an estimate of 3.79 million visitors.
Till today, Canada’s Wonderland has maintained its position as the country’s largest theme park. There is a whole lot of fun for everyone at Canada’s Wonderland.
How about we talk about the exciting moment at the Splash Works, a 20-acre premier water park that features 17 different water slides and water attractions where families can relax in the sun at the Lakeside Lagoon and enjoy themselves.
Or the great events Canada’s Wonderland organizes where you can enjoy family and kid-friendly shows and activities and sample new flowers. There are other amazing adventures from experiencing the exhilaration of cliff jumping from several heights at Mountain Bay Cliffs, to cooling off in the wading pool at Lakeside Lagoon and soaring to the skies in Beagle Brigade Airfield.
The Mountain Bay cliffs is a multi-level cliff jumping attraction at the park where step into the drop-launch chamber of Muskoka Plunge and you can free-fall from as high as 60 feet above the water and reach speeds of approximately 40km/h into the water below.
This is an awesome adventure and a thrill unlike any other in Splash Works. You don’t want to miss it! Also, the Beagle Brigade Airfield is an amazing airplane ride for children offered in Planet Snoopy and KidZville.
It features eight suspended airplanes that zip through the air and zooms along an oval course swinging through sharply banked turns. Don’t forget there are numerous shopping and dining options located throughout the park as well to ensure you have a memorable time and satisfy your taste bud.
Canada’s Wonderland has all the kind of fun you are looking for. Where else would you love to spend the summer with your family if not at the country’s largest theme park?
